"How far in advance do I have to make a reservation?"

We recommend that you book your tour at least two weeks in advance, though sometimes we are able to accommodate last-minute requests.

"How quickly can I expect to hear from you?"

We make every effort to respond to our guests as quickly as possible. But we are a boutique company, receiving a great many tour requests from all over the world. We would appreciate being reminded if you need an urgent response, or if you have not heard from us in more than 24 hours. You may check your JUNK MAIL folder if you have sensitive security settings.

"How do the pricing and payments work?"

Price is based on a six-hour minimum and includes a professional tour guide, vehicle, driver, fuel charges,Meals, event tickets, applicable taxes and parking.  and gratuities are not included. We requires a $50 deposit to secure the date and time of your tour. Any unpaid balance is due before your tour date. All ticket purchases are separate from the cost of a tour, must be pre-paid and are not refundable. We accept major PayPal/Bank transfer  and WeChat payments. Your reservation is not guaranteed until a deposit or full payment is received.

"Can you suggest a tour agenda and when will you send a draft copy?"

If you are not sure what you want to see on your  tour, we will be happy to design a tour agenda for you. After you confirm your tour request , you will receive a draft agenda, which you can edit any way you like. Your draft agenda will arrive within a few days of your tour date, unless you request to receive it earlier.

"How long are tours?"

We can design a tour of any length from six hours — our minimum tour — to multiple days.

"What is the best time of day to have a tour?"

We are happy to accommodate your travel schedule and will plan your tour according to your availability. If you are flexible, we suggest the following guidelines to reduce the impact of rush-hour traffic when selecting tour times on a weekday:

9:00 AM as a start time for morning tours

5:00 PM as an end time for afternoon tours

"Where do tours begin?"

Your private tour begins when we pick you up at your hotel or other specified location, and ends when we drop you off. There will be an extra charge for transportation outside of our tour area. For example, for a pick up at Tianjin Harbor plan on additional travel time and transportation fees.

"Where can we go on our tour?"

Scroll down this page for tour ideas and let us know your "Must See" sites. We will incorporate them into your tour agenda.

"Will the tour guide also be our driver?"

On your private tour with PTW you will have a tour guide and a driver. Your guide will accompany you at each stop, while the car and driver wait for your return, except that you booked  English speaking driver service only.

"How much walking will we do?"

We will help you design a tour with as much or as little walking as you like. Our goal is to maximize your tour time. Your driver will bring you as close as possible to the sites you want to visit.

"Are your tours appropriate for kids?"

Having a private tour offers guests of all ages the best way to experience Beijing's fascinating past and present. Our guides are especially skilled at helping children enjoy the city's wealth of remarkable sites.

"How many people can you accommodate and what kind or car can we expect?"

We provide tours to groups of any size, from one guest to hundreds.

One or two guests will ride in a Volkswagen Passat/Toyota Camry Car; three-to-five guests in a G.M Biuck bussiness Car; and six-to-fourteen  guests in a Toyota Hiace. We can also accommodate much larger groups. All of our late-model vehicles are climate controlled for your year-round comfort.

"Do you ever combine people or groups on tours?"

All our tours are strictly private. We do not combine guests into larger groups.
